Like all of us my life experiences and personal history make me the person I am as much as my background in the arts, education and life coaching. As an Integrative counsellor I draw on all of the parts of myself to allow for a richer understanding of the issues that people bring to me and to recognise our shared humanity which is the basis of my approach.
And that is how I view my clients - as unique individuals whose particular experiences make up who they are, whose circumstances whatever they may be have contributed to their reasons for seeking my support.
My aim as your counsellor is to provide you with a creative, supportive and safe space to explore your feelings, thoughts and behaviour. By working together we can start to look at the areas of your life that are no longer sustainable or have become too overwhelming to deal with alone. One of my core beliefs as a therapist is that we all have the potential to harness our inner resources in a way that is more fulfilling and beneficial to us.
I am fully insured to practice and follow the professional ethics of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I am an accredited registered member of the BACP.
I am fully committed to continued professional development and I am in regular supervision with a BACP accredited supervisor. I am a member of IFCP (The Irish Forum For Counselling & Psychotherapy).
